Bridleways! Help us maintain our Bridleways!
S/2903/14* Plans for western expansion of Cambourne towards A1198
An outline planning application has recently been submitted to South Cambs District Council to expand Cambourne and build more houses. The current Design and Access Statement does not include any reference to bridleway access although the Access and Circulation drawing no. 85 S-78i shows a
proposed bridleway.

To avoid any risk of a new bridleway access linking with the existing being inadvertently omitted from the project, we need to make the Planning Officer aware of the importance to local riders of including a bridleway in the planning permission.

Please contact the Planners either by mail at South Cambs District Offices at Cambourne, email to the project Planning Officer Edward Durrant at or by commenting online by going to the South Cambs Planning page, click on 'Search for an Application', at the Planning
Application box type in: S/2903/14* and then click on the blue reference under 'Ref' and the planning application page will come up. At the bottom of the first box click on 'Comment on this application' and follow the online instructions.

The inclusion of a bridleway around the new settlement at Cambourne has proved to be a wonderful facility for all users and has been held up as an example of best practice in planning design. We need to make sure that this principle is continued in the expansion of Cambourne

BE Fence Judging Days - Free to all BRC Members
from Hilary Trahair, British Eventing - Training and Education Coordinator

I hope all is well with you. I just thought you would be interested to know that we have made our Fence Judge training days for 2015 live recently and they are all available on the BE website at the moment.

Would you be able to forward the link on to anyone in BRC who might be interested in coming along? The days are free to everyone and will be aimed at volunteers of all experiences, so complete beginners are welcome as well as seasoned fence judges.

You can see a list of them here:
